Travel north this morning through Edmonton with it ties to the Klondike past. Watch the beauty unfold through Northern Alberta and see grandiose lakes, mighty rivers, abundant wildlife and untapped wilderness. (B) Hotel: Service plus Inn & Suites
Day 3: Grande Prairie - Fort Nelson
Cross the great northern prairie region of Alberta and stop at Mile “0” of the Alaska Highway. Continue into British Columbia’s picturesque Peace Country with its abundance of natural history. (B) Hotel: Lakeview Hotel
Day 4: Fort Nelson - Watson Lake
Travel through peaceful valleys and alpine meadows to Liard Hot Pools, Canada’s most spectacular natural hot springs. This evening tour the Northern Lights Centre and experience the folklore and the science of the Northern Lights. (B, L) Hotel: Andrea’s Hotel
Day 5: Watson Lake - Whitehorse
Cross the Nisutlin Bay Bridge, the longest bridge on the Alaska Highway, into Teslin Yukon. Enjoy the reflections of the glorious mountain ranges in the crystal clear lakes en-route to Whitehorse and enjoy a city tour including Miles Canyon, the Fish Ladder and the SS Klondike National Historic Site. Day 6: Whitehorse - Dawson City
Travel north this morning on the Klondike Highway, stopping to view the beautiful Five Finger Rapids, to Dawson City - the heart of the Klondike Gold Rush. Tonight visit Diamond Tooth Gerties Gambling Hall, Canada’s oldest and most unique casino. (B, L) Hotel for 2 nights: Downtown Hotel
Day 7: Dawson City
This morning visit a Gold Mining Dredge, one of the largest wood hulled, bucket line dredges in North America and pan for your own fortune. Relax and enjoy a leisurely afternoon as you explore gold rush crazed Dawson City (B)
Day 8: Dawson City – Tok
North to Alaska as you travel over the “Top of the World Highway” to the Village of Tok, where the Eagle Trail crosses the Tanana River and sternwheelers once plied the river. (B) Hotel: Young’s Motel
Day 9: Tok - Fairbanks
Mail your postcards this morning at North Pole, Alaska as you stop by Santa Claus’ House. Continue on to Fairbanks and enjoy a cruise of the Chena and Tanana Rivers aboard the sternwheeler “Discovery”. You will see a bush plane taking off from a “bush” style runway, witness the “wedding of the rivers” and gain insight into the ancient Athabascan Indian culture on a personalised tour of the Chena Indian Village. Day 10: Fairbanks - Denali
Incredible vistas provide a feast for the eyes today on your journey through the town of Nenana and Denali National Park. Day 11: Anchorage
Continue to Anchorage and explore the past at the Alaska Native Heritage Centre. This evening enjoy dinner in a Goldmine at the Sourdough Mining Company. (HD) Hotel for 2 nights: Ramada
Day 12: Prince William Sound Cruise
Cruise the calm and protected waters of Prince William Sound accompanied by a National Forest Interpreter. The vessel hugs the coastline and icebergs glide silently by. Pulling into a bay the vessel floats right up to a 1700-foot high active tidewater glacier. See otters, eagles, puffins, sea lions, whales and glacier-wildlife. (L)
Day 13: Anchorage - Tok or Alaska cruise

Travel to historic Burwash Landing alongside the magnificent St. Elias Range and Kluane Lake. Visit Sheep Mountain Visitor Centre near Haines Junction, home of the Dall sheep, before arriving in Whitehorse. (B) Hotel for 2 nights: Best Western Goldrush
Day 15: Skagway
Travel west over the White Pass Summit for panoramic views en-route to Skagway and visit the quaint port village. Return to Whitehorse for a “Farewell to the Yukon” dinner. (B, D)
Day 16: Whitehorse - Dease Lake
NOTE: Guests on the 12 day tour depart for the airport today.
Return over the Nistulin Bay Bridge and travel the “Stewart-Cassiar Highway” where plentiful wildlife can be seen along the way. Stop at Jade City en route. (L) Hotel: Northway Motor Inn
Day 17: Dease Lake - Stewart
Pass through Mount Edziza Park with its spectacular scenery and abundant wildlife to Stewart. (L) Hotel: King Edward
Day 18: Stewart - Prince George
Drive through towering coastal mountains, icefields and hanging glaciers with rushing waterfalls tumbling down mountainsides. Journey through Burns Lake and Fraser Lake and follow the beautiful rivers and valleys of north central British Columbia on your way to Prince George. Hotel: Treasure Cove Resort
Day 19: Prince George - Jasper
Today head over the Rocky Mountains and view its highest peak, Mount Robson. Visit Maligne Canyon and Pyramid Lake before spending time Jasper. This evening take an optional ride up the Jasper Tramway or a gentle float trip down the sparkling Athabasca River. Hotel: Chateau Jasper
Day 20: Jasper - Banff
The Icefields Parkway offers endless scenic wonders. First stop is dramatic Athabasca Falls, before arriving at the Columbia Icefields. This living glacier’s melt-waters feed three oceans! Visit the Interpretive Centre and take the Ice Explorer ride to the base of the glacier. Then it’s beautiful Peyto Lake, spectacular Lake Louise, and on to Banff. (L) Hotel: Ptarmigan Inn
Day 21: Banff - Calgary
This morning enjoy a sightseeing tour of Banff including Bow Falls, Cascade Gardens and much more. Ride the Gondola up Sulphur Mountain for a panoramic view of the Banff area below. Transfer back to Calgary airport (or a Calgary hotel) for your onward journey (B)
